For the past five years I have used many commercial game engines, this has helped me gain a greater understanding of how to build a working engine as well as familiarizing myself with gameplay programming. Here are some of the engines I have worked with:

  • Unity
  • Unreal Engine 4
  • Godot
  • Cocos2Dx
  • Monogame
Mathematics and Algorithmics

Data Structures and Algorithmics

I have a very solid foothold in the use of data structures, algorithms and programming patterns for object oriented programming. I took two years of Maths and Algorithmics in University and in my downtime love reading Game Programming Gems and Game Programming Patterns.

About Me

I am currently a Gameplay Engineer at Playground Games. I have been an avid computer user since I can remember and picked up my first sciprting language in 2010 to write third party mods for computer games. Since then I have been programming in both academic and professional environments. Alongside those, I frequently participate in game jams throughout the year to improve my ability to work in teams and under strict deadlines.

Oustide of working with tech I spend most of my time practising guitar or improving my baking skills! When possible I like to travel too, the image above was taken in a national forest in Northern Ireland.
